This is the Phoenix Aero Titanium Bicycle. Designed to allow you to go fast in comfort. This bike features all 3/2.5 aerospace grade titanium tubes and hardened titanium dropouts. Other features include:
- Radiused and bladed seatstays for stiffness and comfort as well as aerodynamics.
- Shaped and oversized chainstays for stiffness.
- Oversized BSA BB for maximum power transfer. This bike is a great choice for larger riders, the oversized tubes are very stong!
- 1 1/8" Headtube to allow for the increased strength of an all carbon steerer in that size.
- A normal no slip 27.2 mm round seatpost. These are easily replaced if broken.
- 3 Standard sizes using 52, 54.5 and 56.5 cm top tubes. These frames use a slightly
sloping or compact geometry so standover height is not typically an issue. Other custom
sizes are available, please ask.It may or may not add a design charge depending on the
complexity of your request.
- 700c wheels will be standard
- Geometry designed around a 78 degree seat tube angle.
- Bosses for 2 water bottles.
- Standard or Horizontal rear drop out based upon your preference.
- Aero or round top tube, Seat stays can also be straight.
The bike complete bike shown at the bottom was built for a close friend of mine. His goal, to complete IM Arizona. He wanted a comfortable Ti machine to make 6-7 hour day in the saddle more comfortable. This bike was built with some very high end components including Campy Euros wheels, a bottom bracket integrated power meter by Ergomo, a Profile Design Cockpit and saddle, RMS Aerowing Forks and Shimano Ultegra/ Dura Ace Components and an FSA Carbon Crankset. Phoenix frame prices begin at $1595, complete bikes start at $2650. This particular bike including the Ergomo power meter and Euros wheels would cost about $5100.
The Phoenix is a unique aero design. It can be built for larger athletes as it can very strong. We can make it lighter and more aero by changing tubes based upon your individual needs. It yields a very smooth ride and based upon your weight I can make the rear end and BB as stiff as anything else that you have ever ridden. This is one fine machine!
